New Lab in Shanghai

Interpolymer Grows in China
Interpolymer has opened a new sales office and research laboratory in XuHui Functional Materials Research Park in Shanghai, China. Interpolymer, headquartered in Canton, MA, is a leading developer of specialty polymers, emulsions, and aqueous acrylic dispersions. It manufactures Syntran and Megatran brand polymers, which are used in many personal care, household, and industrial products. With the Shanghai opening, the company now has production facilities in the U.S. and Europe and sales offices and/or laboratories in Germany, France, and China. "With this new facility, Interpolymer will now be able to provide more extensive support to its customers in Asia," said Wim van Drunen, the company's technical director responsible for customer support in both Europe and Asia. "Interpolymer Shanghai will augment our laboratory teams in Europe and the U.S., which until now had total responsibility for the development and testing of our products. We are now in a better position to advise our Asia-Pacific Region customers on the use of Syntran dispersions in the formulating of floor care, shoe care, carpet cleaning, personal care, specialty adhesive, and cationic lacquer products."
